Discount Bicycles Delivery Guide

We offer a number of delivery options.  Read our guide below to discover which service will be best for your order.

Please note we only deliver to U.K. addresses and do not ship out of the UK

Free Standard Delivery within the U.K.  
The average delivery time for items in stock sent on the free delivery service is 9 working days from point of ordering.  This does not include week ends.  Free deliveries are not made on weekends. 

We offer free delivery to all UK mainland addresses.  Deliveries to Southern Ireland and off shore British Islands will incur a delivery surcharge.  Please phone for details if unsure.  Deliveries to Northern Ireland postcodes beginning with BT, are free.

We always endeavour to get your goods delivered to you as quickly as possible, however, our free service is not an express service, and to cover ourselves, we ask that customers allow up to 28 days for delivery for any item requested on our free delivery service.  94% of customers using the free delivery service receive their goods within 9 working days of placing their order.  This does not mean that we guarantee to get your items to you on the 9th day after ordering.  You may receive your goods earlier or later than this.  Discount bicycles guarantees that you will get your item within 28 days of order.

How will I know when my bike will be delivered 
Once your bicycle has been dispatched, and we receive notification from our carriers, you will receive an email from us advising you of the expected delivery date.  Deliveries on the free delivery service are usually made between 9am and 5pm on weekdays.  Our delivery email  to you is a courtesy and forms no part of our contract to supply goods within a specified timescale.

Please note, customers in Northern Ireland, Highlands, or remote areas may not recieve email notification regarding the delivery schedule.

Customers who absolutely definitely need an item in a hurry or before a specific date are advised to use our next day or other scheduled delivery services.  Please phone in your order if you would like your order sent out on an express delivery.  Our Telephone number is 0845 166 8284

Scheduled Deliveries
Give us a call to arrange a convenient scheduled delivery.  We offer the following scheduled deliveries for in stock items.   Please note, our carriers can not guarantee next day delivery to Ireland, the highlands of Scotland, and off shore islands

Please note, discount bicycles does not make any profit from deliveries, and any scheduled services are made as a courtesy on behalf of the customer.  Scheduled delivery forms no part of the purchase contract between the customer and Discount Bicycles. 

Discount Bicycles can not be held liable or responsible for any delay arising as a result of the action of the carrier company.  In effect when a scheduled delivery service is booked, Discount Bicycles acts as your agent in booking the service with the carrier.  We do this free of charge as a courtesy.

When your bike arrives
For your own added consumer protection and peace of mind, it is always extremely important to check the goods before signing to say that you have received them in good condition.

If after checking your order, you find that it has been unacceptably damaged in transit, do not sign for it. Instead call us immediately on 0845 166 8284 to report it.  This is very important as RETROSPECTIVE claims for transit damage CAN NOT be accepted by our insurers.  If you are not able to be present to accept delivery please inform your agent to check that the goods are as ordered, and supplied undamaged.  This does not in any way affect your warranty rights.

What if there is no-one available to accept Delivery?
Unless we are advised otherwise in writing, Discount Bicycles will instruct the carriers to attempt to get a neighbour to act as your agent, and accept delivery, and sign for the goods.  In our experience, this is by far the best solution as it avoids unnecessary and costly redelivery scheduling.
