Head Bicycle Mechanic / Shop Manager (Full Time)

Discount Bicycles Limited has an immediate vacancy for an experienced Head Bicycle Mechanic / Shop Manager.
The ideal candidate will have excellent knowledge of bicycles & cycle accessories, and will have the ability to perform all levels of bicycle servicing. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of recent checkable work experience in a bike shop.
The candidate will have a great command of verbal and written English, will be punctual, hard working, and be able to work effectively in a team. The ideal candidate will also be able maintain an effective work schedule.

The candidate will have either a Cy-Tech Level 2 qualification or a City & Guilds Certificate in ‘Bicycle Engineering’.

Key Duties

• Managing a team of up to 3 bicycle mechanics
• Performing maintenance services on bicycles
• Building bicycles from scratch
• Stock management
• Wheel building
• Maintaining a clean, tidy and effective workshop
• Serving customers in the shop
• Offering good sales advice to customers
• Replenishing stock
• Setting up store displays

General

The post will be directly supervised by the store manager.
The salary is £20,000 per year.
Salary is paid on a monthly basis directly via bank transfer.
Hours of employment are 5 days per week 9am to 6pm Tuesday to Saturday.
